Although sport brings people together because of the familiarity and connection felt by most because of the particular sport played, it is the athletes themselves that seem to grasp the hearts of fans of all ages throughout the world. With hard work, and dedication, many athletes involved in these sports become idols and inspirations to many. It seems that today many famous athletes get caught up in the fame and fortune involved in sports, almost giving sport celebrities more pressure to not be involved in things that would come across as negativity.

Watching celebrities on television has turned the passion and love of sports into a sense of entertainment, connecting people more than ever before with athletes. Sport celebrities can be seen on anything from reality t.v shows, talk shows, radio interviews, and of course on live sporting channels in which broadcast sports.
